Staci Self, LICSW

Staci Self, LICSW is a licensed clinical social worker with nearly three decades of experience in pediatric cystic fibrosis care, having dedicated her career to improving the lives of people with CF since 1996. She serves as Clinical Manager for the International Cystic Fibrosis Training Network (ICFTN) and the International Mentor Training Initiative, and as Assistant Director of Dream a Little Dream, Inc.

Staci brings a uniquely broad range of expertise to her work, with deep knowledge in the psychosocial aspects of CF, CF transition, newborn screening, and relationship-centered communication. She is a credentialed quality improvement coach through The Dartmouth Institute Microsystem Academy at the Geisel School of Medicine — a distinction that reflects her formal commitment to driving meaningful, systemic change in healthcare delivery.

With over five years as a Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Partnership Enhancement Program (PEP) trainer, Staci has trained CF care teams in relationship-centered communication skills, equipping providers with tools to build deeper, more meaningful connections with patients and gain a richer understanding of the patient’s perspective. This expertise continues to inform her work and sits at the heart of her professional mission: ensuring that the human side of CF care is never overlooked.

A respected voice in the CF community, Staci has presented her work at national and international conferences, sharing her expertise and advocacy for patient-centered, high-quality CF care with audiences around the world.
